Sell your jewellery
Sell your diamond or jewellery – quietly offered, properly placed.
Sell your diamond, engagement ring or fine jewellery privately, presented to serious buyers on terms agreed in writing.
Selling a fine stone well is rarely about speed. It depends on the paperwork, the right buyer and a price that holds up when a buyer looks closely. Gem House offers your piece as a private consignment to its network of clients and trusted trade buyers. It is never advertised with your name, and nothing is agreed without your written approval.
Before anything is listed, Elloise will tell you plainly what she expects the piece to achieve privately, and whether another route might serve you better.

How a private sale works
-
Tell us what you have and any paperwork that comes with it. Please don't send photographs through the website form; Elloise will suggest a secure way to share them.
-
The piece is examined in person or collected under insurance. You receive an honest view of its likely private-sale range.
-
A written agreement sets out the listing fee, the commission on sale, the asking price, the lowest price you'll accept, the period of the listing and the insurance in place.
-
Professional photography and, where it would help the sale, an independent laboratory report (with your approval and at an agreed cost).
-
The piece is offered discreetly to suitable buyers. Every offer is brought to you, and none is accepted without your written approval.
-
The buyer's funds clear before the piece is released. You receive the proceeds by bank transfer, less the agreed commission, with a written settlement statement.
If the piece doesn't sell within the agreed period, you can extend the listing or have it returned to you, insured and tracked.
Your piece, in safe hands
While your piece is consigned, it is in Gem House's care and insured for the value agreed in your consignment agreement. It is photographed and logged on arrival, and every movement is tracked and documented. Proof of ownership and identity checks are completed before anything is listed, which protects you and the buyer.
Fees
A flat listing fee, payable when you sign the consignment agreement, and a commission on the sale price, deducted at settlement. Both are agreed in writing before your piece is listed.
Gem House sells privately. It does not bid at auction on clients' behalf.
